COVID-19 Kia Kaha, Kia Māia, Kia Ora Aotearoa:
Psychosocial and Mental Wellbeing Recovery Plan
COVID-19 Psychosocial and Mental Wellbeing Recovery Framework
Background: The aim of psychosocial response and recovery to the pandemic is to minimise the psychological, physical and social consequences of the pandemic, and to enhance the emotional, spiritual, cultural, psychological, social and physical wellbeing of individuals, families, whānau and communities in the immediate response phases, and in medium to long-term recovery. This includes protection from further harm.
Summary of Feedback
Background: The Ministry of Health sought and received feedback on the plan from a wide range of organisations via their consultation hub. The Ministry have since summarised the feedback and are incorporating this into the plan – helping to build a collective picture of how different organisations are contributing to the COVID-19 Recovery. A further iteration of the plan will be released later this year.
